Friday, 14 February
Our First XI took on Newlands Cricket School in the U19 CSA T20 Knock-Out Competition. NCS Batted first and scored 66/10. Wickets shared all around. The firsts then made light work of reaching the target by scoring 70/3 to win by 7 wickets.

Saturday, 15 February

Match week results vs Rondebosch: P13 W8 D1 L4

Our 14A side had another dominant performance when they went up against Rondebosch on Silverhurst B. WBHS batted first and scored 210/10 in 53 overs. Beni Hansen got in on the runs again with his well-played 78. In reply, Rondebosch scored 98/10 in 57 overs. Connor Taylor with figures of 3/1 in 5 overs, which included 4 maidens. Wynberg won by 112 runs.

WBHS 15A went up against Rondebosch away. Our boys batted first and scored 210/10 in 65 overs. Fahad Khan 61 and Sange Mbuto 40 were our best batsmen on the day. However, after losing some early wickets, Bosch decided to close up shop and played for the draw. They managed to get 100/7 in the remaining 55 overs for the day. Fayyaad Davids got 3/23 for his efforts. The match ended in a draw.

The Colts took on the Rondebosch 3rd XI away in a 50 over match. WBHS batted first and scored 184/8 in their allotted overs. Clyde Theunissen got 39 not out for his efforts on the day. In reply, Rondebosch scored 187/7. Imaad Adams was the best bowler with his 2/16. Rondebosch won by 3 wickets.

Wynberg 1st XI played Rondebosch away in a declaration match. Our boys bowled first and managed to restrict the opposition to 114/10. There was no stand-out performer to note, as wickets were shared across the team. Although Wynberg performed well with the ball in hand, our batsmen failed to come to the party and we ended on 94/10 with only Dom Miles getting amongst the runs with 40*, presenting Rondebosch a 20 run victory.

Sunday, 16 February
A Wynberg U15 invitational team took on a ProCoach schools side from the UK on Silverhurst A. Wynberg batted first and scored 189/9 in 40 overs. Aniq Burton top-scored with 37*. In reply, The ProCoach XI outfit scored 182/10. Naas Beets for 4/14 in 6 overs for his efforts. Wynberg won by 7 runs.

Looking ahead: Our First XI will take on Bishops in the next round of the U19 CSA T20 KnockOut Competition on Friday 21 February at Bishops. Our A sides will be taking on Pinelands High School on Saturday, 22 February.
