20 – 25 March 2019: Proudly sponsored by Standard Bank, the Wynberg Winter Sports Festival 2019 caters for a cocktail of sports – Rugby, Soccer, and Squash matches will see more than 1400 players from across South Africa meet and compete on the Wynberg Boys’ High School campus. The Festival returns this year after the forced drought-cancellation in 2018, and promises to hold even more excitement, atmosphere, and competition in the best traditions of school sport.
Comprising a Rugby Festival, Soccer and Squash tournaments, the Standard Bank Wynberg Winter Sports Festival 2019 sets the next level for the Western Cape in age-group sporting contests as this event continues to grow in scale and skills. 2019 also sees a first for Wynberg Rugby as we welcome Isidro RFC’s 1st and 2nd XVs from Argentina, who’ll bring an international wild card element to the event. Participating teams across all sports disciplines: Bishops, Charlie Hofmeyer Hoerskool, Edgemead, Fairmont High School, Fish Hoek, George Sports Academy, Glenwood, Grey College, Isidro RFC (Argentina), Isimemo saseKapa, KES, Langa, Milnerton, Mondale, Parel Vallei, Paul Roos, Pearson, Pinelands, Portlands, Rondebosch, SACS, Soweto, St Andrew’s, St Joseph’s, Tygerberg, Westerford, Westville, Windhoek Gym, Windhoek High, WP Development Team, and hosts, Wynberg Boys’ High School.
