On Thursday 7 March, the U16, U15, U14 A and B teams departed for George to participate in the Kwaggas Rugby Day on Saturday 9 March.
Friday was used, firstly, as a practice morning and the afternoon as an opportunity to do a bit of teambuilding down at the beach at Vic Bay.
Saturday was all rugby, with the U14Bs kicking off proceedings at 08.30.
With the exception of the U15Bs, who played York High U15As, the rest of the Wynberg teams were pitted against the host school, Outeniqua High.
When all was said and done, there was a mixed bag of results. Most importantly, however, the occasion afforded boys and coaches a chance for some much-needed match practice before the forthcoming Wynberg and Bishops festivals.
