Thursday 23 – Sunday 26 September, Ian Melliar Cup Water Polo Tournament 2021: WBHS takes great pleasure in welcoming all teams to the pool deck – and all families, fans, and supporters to our media platforms for four days of action-packed U15 water polo.

This 14th edition of Wynberg’s Ian Melliar Cup U15 tournament is a tribute to the passion for polo at schools and clubs across South Africa; the commitment to participate in the event well before the Department of Basic Education gave the green light for a return to competitive contact sports cannot be underestimated. This event is always a showcase of sporting excellence, and in 2021 also a celebration of the human spirit to overcome obstacles.

17 teams form up across 4 pools in round robins and playoffs, all under the professional whistles of senior referees – and for the first time in the event’s history we take pleasure in welcoming an all-girl team of talented local U15s, the Dolphins Invitation side.
