It is always interesting to note in the press and elsewhere which schools are deemed to be the most successful. The press trumpet lists of A Aggregates and ranks top sporting schools and school achievers. These lists, however, can never tell us which school is best for an individual. Even though we can talk from a position of strength because we are on those lists, there are nevertheless many attributes of a good school which are not possible to measure. How can manners and courtesy be ranked? Values? Morals? Citizenship? Friendship? Spirit? Commitment? The list is endless …
