Monday 26 August 2019: As with all who’ve been following the news, WBHS is horrified, and appalled, at the brutal murder of Lynette Volschenck. On behalf of my staff, and our Wynberg family, I extend Wynberg’s deepest condolences, and support, to the family and friends of the victim, and to those of the accused reported in the media.
The accused, Kyle Ruiters, matriculated at Wynberg Boys’ High School.
He is remembered as a quiet, unassuming member of the school community who enthusiastically participated in school activities.
As we wait for the judicial process to unfold, we encourage all to exercise compassion and to respect the families involved. Shock, grief, healing, and the law, will take time, and needs our support.
