Monday 15 March 2021: The School motto, Supera Moras, overcoming challenges, summed up the success of this year’s premier Inter-House event. Ensuring our annual Sports Day literally ran in the face of pandemic restrictions and protocols, without spectators, and accommodating officials and athletes only in socially-distanced format, the Cape weather blew in to force a postponement from the original date of Wednesday 10 March, and almost managed to rain the event out five days later.  Teacher in Charge of Athletics, Mr Estian van der Merwe, writes:

A big thank you to all the athletes, staff members, officials, and ground staff for making this possible. This was an unusual Sports Day without any spectators to cheer the athletes on due to Covid-19 protocols, but the ‘gees’ and vibe that the athletes showed was impressive! A special mention goes to Littlewood for winning the trophy once again. We look forward to competing against SACS next week and hopefully, in the Quadrangular in a few months’ time!
