Green Light for WBHS Indoor Cricket Centre

In a groundbreaking move set to transform the landscape of cricket training and development, Wynberg Boys’ High School proudly announces the launch of its long-awaited Indoor Cricket Centre. This cutting-edge facility is poised to grow how cricket is played, practiced, and perfected at Wynberg Boys’ High School.

The School Governing Body has approved the much-anticipated Indoor Cricket Centre construction and a call for tenders has been issued.

The project, conceptualised to ensure Wynberg Cricket remains in the top echelon of competitive schools, is fully endorsed by Wynberg Old Boy and international cricket legend Jacques Kallis.

“What awesome news that Wynberg Boys’ High School will soon be breaking ground on an Indoor Cricket Centre. It will mean so much to the boys on those rainy days in the summer months and throughout the Cape Winters. Congratulations on a superb call made by the school and governing body – Proud Old Boy.” – Jacques Kallis

While the Old Boys’ Legacy Fund will donate part of the projected R8 million cost, matched rand for rand by WBHS, we are excited to be opening up a Buy-a-Brick fundraising campaign alongside corporate sponsorship opportunities to allow our community and Old Boys to write their names into the future of our school.

WBHS looks forward to sharing the project progress in the weeks ahead.
