Dear Parents and Guardians
Following the announcement by the President last night, there is a lot of confusion about the way forward for schools in the immediate future. We are currently in communication with the Western Cape Educational authorities to seek clarity and they have undertaken to issue a directive to schools later in the day.
What is certain at the moment is that Wynberg Boys’ High will be closed for all teachers and students for next week. This will be considered to be a holiday and Grade 12 teachers and students will resume classroom based lessons on Monday 3 August. Arrangements for Grades 8 to 11 will be communicated early next week but I wish to give you the assurance that our intention is to get them back to school as soon as possible.
