A Bumper Term for Wynberg Service!

Thursday 19 September 24: This has been another bumper term for the Service pillar.

Our book collection has been a huge success enabling the Zithulele School in the Eastern Cape to open its Literacy programme. Thank you for all the donations – please keep these coming in Term 4!

The sanitary pad collection supported the Strawberry Tribe by donating 3600 pads, with this matched by PTM services enabling us to present over 7000 pads to girls in need. Your support was greatly appreciated by the Foundation.

We asked our students to volunteer at Victoria Hospital and Simon van der Stel School in two outreach opportunities. 85 boys supported on that afternoon painting, cleaning, and gardening. Another incredible show of support from our gents!

The Grade 8s held their annual Market Day to raise funds for the Grade 8 Service Week. Thank you to all Grade 8 parents for their support and assistance on the day.

The Grade 8 Service week took place from Tuesday 17 – Thursday 19 September with our Grade 8’s building and painting jungle gyms and mud kitchens as well as movable murals for the Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre in Westlake. The children from this Centre as well as children from Westlake Primary came to join us over the 3 days for parties hosted by our boys. The positive spirit and energy from our young gents were inspiring and uplifting for all involved.

Donations from our Civvies Day collection were made to the SPCA, the Tom Ro Equestrian Centre for Horses and Children, the Fallen Angels Foundation, and The Safe House for Women and Children.

Well done, gents, and thank you for all the support from our Wynberg families.
