Visual Arts Outing to Zeitz MOCAA

The Grade 11 and 12 Visual Arts boys spent the day exploring Cape Town’s iconic Zeitz MOCAA, one of Africa’s leading contemporary art museums.

The outing kicked off in style with breakfast treats at The Silo Hotel, where the boys soaked in the incredible views of Table Mountain. They were also treated to a private tour of the hotel’s exclusive art collection, a unique opportunity to see some remarkable works up close.

Grade 11 & 12 students at Zeitz MOCAAA special thank you to Veronica Canha-Hibbert, Executive Chef, for thoughtfully organising the breakfast for us.

From there, the group made their way down to Zeitz MOCAA, where an exceptional guide led them on a journey through the striking exterior architecture of the V&A Waterfront and the thought-provoking exhibitions housed inside the museum.

One of the day’s standout moments was hearing the boys sing the school song in the museum’s iconic central atrium — the soaring, echo-filled chamber carved from the original grain silos. Their voices carried beautifully through the space, making for a truly memorable experience.

It was a day filled with good energy, inspiring art, and unforgettable views.
