Service Pillar Appeal: The Christmas Challenge

Wednesday 25 October: The annual WBHS Service Pillar Christmas Challenge launched this week and is set to run until Tuesday 21 November. All Wynberg families, friends, Old Boys, staff, and students are encouraged to give in the spirit of sharing to help make this Christmas that much more festive for those in need.

Our Service Committee is appealing for items to fill Christmas boxes for distribution to both the Michelle Davids Foundation in Lavender Hill and the Elim Night Shelter Project. Gifts for both children and the elderly in need will be gratefully accepted – as in 2022 we list items most sought by these organisations as gift ideas.

  • Boys and Girls clothing, for ages 5-16
  • Face cloths
  • Soap
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Stationery items
  • Sweets
  • Biscuits
  • Tea
  • Toys
  • Hand/body cream
  • Hairbrushes or combs
  • Body spray/deodorant
  • Gently used handbags

All donations may be delivered to Mrs Natalie Karg (Vice-Principal of Service & Culture) in her Alf Morris Centre office.

We thank you in advance for your kindness, confident in the legendary generosity of our Wynberg community!
