Wynberg Boys’ High School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced, enthusiastic, and engaging part-time Piano teacher to join our growing Music department. The successful candidate needs to possess first-rate teaching and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within the Music Department.
The candidate should be competent in teaching the piano. The ability to teach voice or another instrument would be a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and teaching individual lessons for students.
- Maintaining student engagement and ensuring timely progress and skills development.
- Prompt communication with parents/guardians and timely reports on student progress and learning.
- Being a part of school events and concerts.
Qualification Requirements
- B. Mus Degree or an appropriate equivalent qualification.
- 3 – 5 years of experience teaching Piano lessons is strongly preferred.
- Engaging and friendly personality.
- Comfortable working with students of various ages.
- Independent worker with excellent time-management skills.
- Strong organisation and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced Piano performance skills and music theory knowledge.
