Wynberg Boys’ High School seeks to appoint a well-qualified, experienced, enthusiastic, and engaging part-time cello teacher to join our growing Music department. The successful candidate needs to possess first-rate teaching and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within the music department.
The candidate should be competent in teaching classical cello but willing to branch out into other genres.
Key Responsibilities
- To plan and teach individual lessons for students.
- Maintain student engagement and ensure timely progress and skill development.
- Prompt communication with parents/guardians and timely reports on student progress and learning.
- Be a part of the events and concerts.
Qualification Requirements:
- B. Mus Degree or appropriate equivalent qualification.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience teaching cello lessons is strongly preferred.
- Engaging and friendly personality.
- Comfortable working with students of various ages.
- Independent worker with excellent time-management skills.
- Strong organisation and planning skills.
- Excellent skills; both verbal and written.
- Advanced cello performance ability.
- A thorough understanding of music theory.
