Wynberg Boys’ High School invites an outstanding teacher of Natural Science or Life Science (Post Level 1) to apply for a Maternity post from 22 July 2055 to 20 November 2025.
The requirements of the position are:
- Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a PGCE OR a B.Ed. with Life Sciences as a major.
- Ability to teach Natural Science 8-9 and Life Science up to Grade 12.
- The ability to offer other subjects in the FET Phase will be an advantage.
- Extramural duties – active participation will be a requirement. Please state the extramural activities that you could offer.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in Natural Sciences & Life Science across all grade levels.
- Passion for Life Sciences and enthusiastically sharing their passion with their students.
- Excellent content knowledge of Natural Sciences & Life Science.
- An ability to produce high-quality assessments and analyses of student performance.
- A willingness to take on extra responsibilities within the department as required.
- Organised, flexible, and self-motivated.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole student.
- A high level of professionalism and consideration for the well-being of students.
- Applicants should be SACE registered or be able to show evidence that they have applied for registration.
- Willingness to embrace rapid changes in education and an interest and ability to integrate ICT and technology into teaching and learning is imperative.
- Applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fully computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, and use of the internet.
